The TAIEX options time value line sums the time value of both PUT and CALL contracts across every strike within an options contract day.
Time value is affected by many factors — remaining time to expiry, index volatility, the risk-free rate — and falls to 0 at expiry.
An option's price has two parts: intrinsic value and time value.
Intrinsic value: the option's current inherent worth, the difference between market price and strike price.
Time value: the difference between the option's price and its intrinsic value, reflecting the market's expectation of how the intrinsic value may change before expiry.

Risk warning: futures and options are highly leveraged and can produce very large losses. Before opening an account, carefully assess your financial position, investing experience and risk tolerance.
